Fed: Gunman wrote play about shooting friends and professor
CANBERRA, April 18 AAP - The South Korean born student who went on a murderous rampage
through a US university had written a play about shooting friends and a professor, a class
mate says.
Marilyn Duncan said 23-year-old gunman Cho Seung-Hui had written a play called "Robert
Mc Beef" last semester.
"He wrote a play called Robert Mc Beef, that was about shooting friends and a professor,"
Ms Duncan told ABC radio.
"We tried to treat it like any other work of creative writing, you know, we are writing
fiction, that is what we are trying to better ourselves at."
Ms Duncan's friend, John, who had read the play, told her that he took it "as a farce".
Ms Duncan said she sat opposite Seung-Hui during her creative writing class last semester.
She described him as the most closed-off person she had ever seen in her life.
"I never heard his voice except for the first day of class she (the teacher) called
role and his full name was Seung-Hui, but he told her he preferred to go by Sung," Ms
Duncan said.
"I didn't hear him speak for the rest of semester, I saw his lips move occasionally
but I never heard him."
"I don't even remember what his face looked like because his cap was always pulled
down, blocking his eyes," she said.
